As a Peer Support member, I provided text-based emotional support to individuals with ranging mental health issues like depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and connected them to the right fit for professionals. I worked in the area of mental health awareness, destigmatisation and destigmatising, increasing access and affordability, and facilitating intervention in the field of Mental Health.

I assisted therapists in Social Communication therapy sessions for children with social communication difficulties (including ASD, PDD, and developmental delays). I observed sensory integration meetings, Special Education, Speech and Social Communication therapy sessions for children of varied ages and skill sets. I learned the ‘Eye to I’ in-house codebook for stages of play, coded multiple videos using the codebook, supported with data collection, and data analysis, and led the social media team at the organization. I also wrote a research paper titled “The Effectiveness of Eye to I© Intervention Online and In-person during the COVID-19 pandemic and Beyond: A follow-up study” which was presented and published at an international conference organized by SGT university

I worked at the hospital for 2 months in the Psycho-Oncology Department as an Intern. My work included observing patients coming to the hospital and interacting with them to collect their case histories. I also worked in the Initial Assessment Unit, Emergency, Preventive-Oncology and Psycho-Oncology Departments of the hospital. During my time at the hospital, I worked on a research study titled: “Determining the psychological antecedents of patients or their caregivers visiting a tertiary cancer care center” which is in the process of publication.
