I spearheaded racial and gender equity initiatives focused on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ youth by developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum, training, and program support for a nonprofit’s reproductive health education department across six states. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, I enhanced my ability to analyze complex intersectional issues and implement data-driven solutions that advance health equity for marginalized communities.

I led the implementation of a K-12 social-emotional learning curriculum for Indigenous communities in the U.S., customizing educator trainings and strategies to meet cultural needs. Through building strong relationships with schools and tribal agencies, I helped communities in Alaska, California, and Hawaii address learning gaps, increase youth engagement, and cultivate cultures of purpose and belonging.

Throughout my time at SHI, I managed and implemented programs in the education department of a nonprofit dedicated to preserving Southeast Alaska Native cultures, fostering cultural diversity, and promoting cross-cultural understanding.-Launched region-wide college and career access programs serving Alaska Native students in eight Southeast Alaska communities, enhancing postsecondary pathways, funding opportunities, and career support.-Managed a $3 million budget and led a team of three to prioritize and deliver culturally affirming activities to support students navigating unfamiliar systems.

-Coordinated efforts and engaged diverse stakeholders to integrate Tlingit culture and language within a placed-based, cultural-based optional program in the Juneau School District.

-Partnered with executive leaders, nonprofit organizations, and district leaders across the Southeast Alaska region to assess and identify opportunity gaps faced by Alaska Native students.

Under a short-term contract, I conducted research, writing, and editing to update eleven modules and a facilitation guide for the Athletes As Leaders (AAL) sexual violence prevention program for high school athletes, expanding discussions on systemic oppression, intersectionality, and the use of inclusive gender language.

As the Athletes as Leaders (AAL) coordinator in San Luis Obispo County, I trained coaches and advocates to deliver a 10-week sexual assault prevention program for high school athletes on girls' sports teams. The program empowered athletes to foster respect, inclusion, and awareness of gender-based violence, creating safer team and school environments.
