ldrætshøjskolen i Sønderborg har i efteråret 2013 startet en ny linje "IHS Sport & Event". Som IHS Sport & Event-elev gennemgår man et forløb på 140 lektioner. Sport & Eventteamet består af 10 elever, som specifikt har søgt om at være med på linjen. Som en del af Sport & Eventlinjen får eleverne lavet en individuel DlSC-profil, for at give den enkelte indblik i egne styrker, potentielle udviklingsområder og karaktertræk. Derudover følger eleverne undervisningen i skolens PR- og innovationsfag. Undervisningen giver eleverne både teoretiske og praktiske kompetencer gennem projektorienteret arbejde og innovativ tankegang indenfor: - ldeudvikling /-realisering. - Kommunikativekompetencer - lnternt samarbejde og gruppedynamikker. - Opsøgende salg -fra kanvassalg til Facebook, Twitter m.m. - PR og markedsføring - bl.a. gennem lnstagram og Facebook. - Håndtering og opbygning af samarbejdspartnere som Odense Sport & Event og K/S Kultur i Syd og mindre lokale samarbejdspartnere som lntersport og Café lb Rehne Cairo.- Eventmanagement - bl.a. stort åbent 6 timers adventurerace på IHS med flere end 25 hold til start, gæsteweekend for mere end 150 mennesker, div. happenings bl.a. i Skansen til ligahåndbold for mere end 2000 tilskuere og flere arrangementer for firmaer, uddannelsesinstitutioner m.fl. Der forventes en helt ekstraordinær fleksibilitet af den enkelte elev, da det meste af arbejdet med den praktiske afvikling af stort set alle større projekter, events og sportsbegivenheder er udenfor almindelig "arbejdstid".
