Worked on multiple projects during this duration. Gained knowledge and experience in data migration and data modelling activities during this span. Data migration project involved migration of legacy SQL Server Data warehouse into Snowflake hosted on AWS. The data architecture consisted of copying data from on premise over to cloud using PowerShell scripts and executed via Informatica workflows. This project helped in acquiring PowerShell scripting knowledge to extract and transform data on cloud. Apart from above had the opportunity to play the role of a data modeler and be part of the Data Architects team for a leading Insurance client in the United States. Roles and responsibilities involve designing comprehensive data model that includes the required data entities and attributes supporting business team for any data analysis purpose. Any enhancement or new requirements to these datamart will be passed on to the data architect team to be analyzed , designed and integrated before passing on to development team. Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models. Engage with the business users and soliciting their requirements and iteratively refine the conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models. Project involved being part of various scrum teams as independent developer under the membership domain for a major health care provider. Mainly performed the role of DataStage SME in the DevOps team to work on maintenance and enhancement requests and provide quick turnaround to business. Performed the role of a developer, tester, SME on DataStage components, outbound reporting and data queries.Tools used in this project were Oracle 12.2, IBM Infosphere DataStage v11.3, IBM Workload Scheduler, Putty, WinSCP, SQL Developer.

Travelled onshore and worked as the technical ETL lead for invest (development) team to develop, manage, co-ordinate and deliver a data warehouse project. The program goal was to create the IT, operations, and pricing foundational telematics capabilities needed to start new, innovative usage-based telematics products for the Insurance client. The Project objective was to launch a low cost, scalable, smartphone-based telematics product that is economically viable, and provides an excellent customer experience. Duties involved working as the lead ETL Developer and primary ETL contact point for the Telematics Project team. Responsible for the delivery of the telematics reporting capability. Worked directly with the stakeholders to understand the reporting requirements and metrics which would enable the leadership to measure the program performance. Led the offshore development team to design, develop and implement the data layer for the reporting to be built on. Responsible to present the design and code in DRB (Design review boards) and get it approved by the architects. Responsible for the end -to-end testing and integration with other systems involved in the project. Responsible for data analysis of any process issues to come up with a solution for a fix. Presenting and communicating status and milestone reports to the senior management to keep them abreast of project status and issues. Worked as Business Analyst for the maintenance team of the enterprise data warehouse system for a major insurance client. Role and responsibilities involved meeting with business stakeholders to understand the requirements for the change requested. Document the customer requirements understandable by the developers. Provide walkthrough of the requirements to devlopment and Tesing teams. Validate the results to ensure the end product is meeting the requirements and is on par with the customer expectation. Provide internal signoff before production implementation. Co-ordintae the UAT activites with business and obtain signoff. Apart form the Business analyst role was also acting as a techinical lead for the production support team for one of the tracks. As part of the lead role worked on preparing Monthly operational metrics to demonstrate the teams Throughput and efficiency in handling the application. Client facing onshore lead for data integration project that involved migration of all customers data from a new Oracle acquired data system with the existing DB2 application. The objective was to create a consolidated data source for Contract data reporting that will support Contract business (sales, customer usage, pricing, e-commerce) for reporting needs. The data will be used to develop reports for internal business use (pricing changes, sales/margin analysis) and external customer facing reporting (customer usage reports). These data ware housing projects made use of ETL methodologies using Informatica as the main tool along with unix shell scripting to perform certain required file operations. Primary responsibilities in the production support projects included incident / service request management, problem management and change management activities for the application along with root cause analysis, bug fixes, application gap analysis and performance improvement activities.For maintenance projects performed data mapping analysis, detail design based on requirements and mapping documents, development , unit testing , performance testing , production deployment and support .
