Hi, I’m Divakar, founder & CEO of DVS Advisory Group. I help "Established" Entrepreneurs, Businesses & Family Offices structure their Ownership, Growth and Events for Taxes, Scale and Simplicity with 100% Clarity, Zero Penalties and 100% Compliance. I come from a middle-class family background. I am a trained artist (sketching and painting) following the footsteps of my grandfather and father. The instances in my life made me realize that ‘Uncertainties are certain’.Since childhood I was passionate about "connecting the dots" which later became my profession - Structuring taxes, transactions and businesses. Here’s a short timeline for you to understand my story better -2004 -➺Became a qualified CA with AIR 38 in PE II➺Got the highest paid job of that time. Then I left it within 25 days owing to boredom➺Started teaching tax for CA aspirants - chose tax as it was dynamic and was full of possibilities.2005 -➺Joined Kotak Mahindra Bank.➺After 13 months, I resigned from there and joined Citi Bank.➺Started DVS advisors - specialising on International Tax Structuring.2007 -➺ Quit Citi Bank and started DVS 2008 - ➺I’ve learned a lesson from all these jobs - ‘Freedom is life’.➺With this realization, I took the biggest decision of my life - I surrendered my CA Certificate of Practice.2010 -➺Wrote my first book on Taxation which went viral.2011 -➺A Big 4 entity wanted to buy DVS. However, I didn’t sell it and realized ‘There’s no price to die’.2012-13 -➺My first attempt to consolidate the professional services industry in India - www.meeturpro.com launched - onboarded 2000+ CAs and lawyers online ➺Witnessed a lot of ups and downs before I shut it.2014 -➺Made DVS Advisory Group a global practice with offices in India, Dubai, and Singapore.2023 -➺Consolidated DVS as a Single Entity with group companies globally.2023 -➺ Converted DVS to a platform enterprise to help SME professionals to benefit from our structure, backend and leadership.In the whole two decades of my professional journey, I’ve -⤷Been recognized as a Forbes Advisor⤷Been featured in over 500 media publications⤷Authored 15+ books on Direct & International Taxation⤷ Travelled and Studied across elite institutions - Harvard, Chicago Booth, IIM, ISB, Insead, LBS etc⤷Helped 100+ ventures to build, scale, and exit.I enjoy structuring and solving complex business challenges.When you don’t find me creating a structure, you can find me reading a book;)Want to structure a business challenge or transaction ?📧 DM me on LinkedIn or📧 divakar@onedvs.com
