The Life Lion Chief Flight Paramedic / SMS Safety Manager is responsible for daily operation management of clinical teams and bases for Penn State Health Life Lion. The CFP has direct supervision of the flight paramedics within the department and oversees all employee related responsibilities. In conjunction with the Chief Flight Paramedic the CFP may also staff clinical shifts, assessing and implementing care for critically ill patients (Neonatal, Pediatrics and Adults) and serve as the senior expert in clinical decision making involving the treatment/transport of critically ill patients. The Supervisor Flight Paramedic is responsible for assisting with the management of daily operations associated with the Life Lion Critical Care Transport Team. The Supervisor Flight Paramedic will provide direct supervision over the Life Lion Critical Care Transport Paramedics.
