Responsibilities: taking vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight, and pulse oximetry) for infusion patients and documenting into EMR. Cleaning up infusion bays after treatment through proper sanitation procedures. Setting up IV catheters, tubing saline, and medical equipment for the next patient. Shadowing nurses to learn about IV insertion, treatments for rheumatological diseases, and mixing of medications on the on-site pharmacy. Shadowing Dr.Joshua Liu in Atlantic Health Rheumatology.
