• Design of AC induction motor (squirrel cage) both in inquiry verification as well as project execution.• Dealing with specification review, preparation of compliance / comments & deviations, costing, and performance characteristic curves, etc.• Involved in product development activities by determining technical & cost-effective solutions.• Review, understand and analyze the technical documents, specifications & customer requirements.• Extensive experience in the design of both LV (low-voltage) & HV (high-voltage) motors.• Experienced in designing the motors ranging from; Voltage: 0.4kV to 13.8kV | Polarity: 2 to 20 | Frame size: 315 to 560 for Fin-Frame and 400 to 900 in Top-Hat (CACA & CACW) | Construction type: Horizontal and Vertical.• Able to size/design the motor for various load applications. Executed inquiries for various load applications using both standard and re-energizing concepts.• Regularly involved in technical discussions with customer and Sales team.• Involved in design optimization and conducting design review (DR) meetings with cross-functional teams along with preparation of technical documents, during the project execution stage.• Preparation of drawings in AutoCAD & BOM building activities in PLM.• Provide technical support to the production, testing, procurement, and sales department.• Analyzing test results & comparing the measured results with design data.• Actively involved in cost reduction activities.• Sound knowledge of design concepts, working principles, construction, cooling system (IC), Mounting (IM), Protection (IP), various application demands, and insulation scheme.• Frequent interaction with cross-functional departments to understand and analyze the practical manufacturing issues and provide technical inputs and design solutions.• Conducting training sessions to graduate engineering trainees & newly-joined engineers on electrical design concepts and workflow.
