Knowing that developing a successful career in finance in the modern business environment requires advanced training in finance and related subjects, I built a strong foundation on financial concepts such as macro-finance, corporate accounting, and liquidity management during my under-graduation and post graduation. I have completed a thesis titled, “Growth perspective of commerce” that explains the importance of finance and its impact on the ever-changing reality of the business environment. Post my under-graduation and post graduation, I was employed with Bank of New York Mellon for 3.2 years and was involved in managing the client’s accounts and reconcile on daily basis by root cause analysis and resolving the discrepancy. I was also able to evaluate the manual touch points of the workflow and the associated risks and this helped me shift my focus to automate through the different cutting edge technologies and services thus improving team efficiency. My tenure with BNY Mellon has molded me into a better professional by developing skill sets such as resilience, stakeholder management, networking, strong communication, and the art of influencing.It often happens that the very best of our competencies, strengths, and creativity are brought into action when we willingly take on challenges. We can either decide to stay in our comfort zone or make a decision to take it on as a challenge to explore and seize it as an opportunity. I have always chosen the latter. This in pursuit I am currently doing Masters in Finance at the University of Texas at Dallas while enhancing myself both in financial and technical avenues with courses such as Financial Negotiation, Corporate finance, Macroeconomics & Financial Markets . On completing my master's, I see myself in the finance sector, delivering my potential for financial analysis and strategic implementation. My vision is to drive organic growth in shaping the future finance citizens and to contribute to influencing the future of the enterprise through innovative ventures, and I firmly believe that innovation is my foot in the door to the next generation of banking.
