I'm Divya. I am extremely interested in the hows and whys of human behaviour and I like exploring the reasons that drive us to do certain things. My curiosity of the human mind, emotions and behaviour made me want to explore neuroscience and psychology. I have battled depression, body image issues and anxiety in the past which drives me to become a better therapist who can help people ease their pain.My practice aims to create a safe and inclusive space for my clients where they can express themselves unabashedly and reflect upon the situations, thoughts, emotions and patterns that cause them pain. Everyone requires a unique approach, so I take what I can from different modalities.I have been recently leaning more towards a humanistic and existential approach with aspects of emotional focused therapy. I take different techniques from post modern, solution focused approaches and heavily rely on ACT. My areas of focus include relationship concerns, struggles with adult ADHD, communication, self- esteem, confidence, self-love, stress, anxiety, family conflicts and depression.I am culturally sensitive and getting trained to be queer affirmative and trauma informed. I aim to help you grow and break intergenerational trauma patterns. I want to do my part in de-stigmatizing mental illness, spreading awareness about therapy and how it can help everyone and making it accessible. I see therapy as a collaborative process of exploration where we work on fostering insights that lead to growth, healing, and change. I am here to make the process of healing easier for you. I aim to be a guide on your quest to understand your mind. I genuinely believe going to therapy requires a lot of courage and commitment.
