Quality Engineering Intern
During each production run, defect and test data automatically loaded onto cloud-based system. Quality managers spend ~3h / run analyzing test-specific trends. Each wk, managers spend ~25h on manually entering and analyzing data.Saw opportunity to automate work: automatically downloading production data from cloud, derived data resulting in the same outputs as before – graphs, charts, and trends, available to manager at start of shift. Code was to capture old and new testing methods.Completed in three months. Developed self-sustaining and self-correcting code – runs during off-hours.Saved manager ~20hrs./week. Increased efficiency of identifying defect.Cloud-based system for all production data updates once / 24 hours – difficult for quality engineers to alter existing production lines to minimize defects & line operators will see specific issues that don’t show in data.Conducted daily operator interviews at two stations -- soldering & heat testing -- prior to quality team meeting, presented operator-endorsed solutions.Three defects seen at stations permanently solved, four products graduated from NPI to permanent line.
Supplemental Instruction Leader
30 popular courses at TAMU with high rates of students dropping / failing. Past successful students sought to aid in understanding of material using collaborative, interactive methods. PHIL 240 – Intro to Logic (Symbolic Math) and ENGR 102 – Lab I Computation (Python), 30 – 50% of students would get a C or lower or drop. In some years, more students would drop the course than not.Worked closely with prof and dept, targeted students’ main struggles in 3 one-hour sessions each wk.Across six semesters of teaching, 90% of students that consistently attended sessions earned an A or B.The supplemental instruction (SI) program at TAMU has 70+ instructors, each placed in a group of 4 others and a mentor to acclimate them to role and address issues. Common issues: lack of ideas to keep students engaged, low session attendance, and addressing student feedback.Mentored 5 student instructors across three subject areas. Created, presented weekly slideshows addressing common problems and conducting mock sessions to apply learned skills.Evaluated each instructor 3x, monitored weekly plans. 75% of consistent students earned an A or B.

Designed a formal multi-year plan with potential pitfalls and alternatives.Led weekly meetings to showcase findings and build client relationship. Relayed technical information concisely to be understood by all government entities. Fostered int’l relationships over three months.Became proficient in and created guides for PVSyst simulation software to allow BDoE to conduct their own research on their finalized plan after partnership end. Guides passed to government engineers to assess economic and environmental stipulations to all potential plans.Created energy simulation videos (PVSyst software) simulating different energy consumption scenarios
