Handled 2 roles in my stint with Tata Teleservices in Delhi-NCR circle1) Marketing: Responsible for devising campaigns & marketing initiatives to increase demand, walk-ins and sales of Tata Indicom products at company’s own stores as well as at stores of Modern Trade Retail chains - Understanding store planograms & customer profiles of the company’s Modern Trade partners such as Croma, The MobileStore, to develop special, customized marketing initiatives, co-branding solutions to increase sales of Tata Indicom products at their stores - Branding & Marketing initiatives, collaterals to increase walk-ins, demand and sales of products at Tata Indicom stores - Working with agencies to plan & execute the above mentioned initiatives2) Retail: Managed a Company Owned Tata Indicom store in Delhi to gain hands-on Operations & Sales exposure. Responsible for Acquisitions, Sales of handsets, devices, Revenue, Customer Service delivery, Lifecycle Management and grievance redressalHighlights1) Devised & executed launch activities for new Tata Indicom stores in Delhi-NCR2) Helped double handset sales at Modern Trade partner outlets by solving dummy handset problem - Lack of dummy handsets to display at Modern Trade partner stores was proving to be a barrier to sales as other handset makers had dummies & customers wanted ‘touch and feel’ before purchase - Introduced “handset jackets” – dummy boxes with actual-size handset images with a feature write-up. The initiative proved successful and gave a good spike in sales - Later replicated for Tata Indicom stores as well where in addition to boosting sales, it also helped solve pilferage problems - Since its inception till the time I left, the store I managed continued to be among the top 5 most profitable stores in the country, with a Net Profit averaging Rs. 30,000 p.m.
