About Divya Sathyanarayanan
Pollution, resource depletion, climate crisis, wastage - buzzwords I grew up with. Contemporary issues that kept me awake at night. I wanted to be a part of the world that came with the solutions. Hence, my attraction to Mechanical Engineering. As an undergrad, I quickly understood that, while learning about energy technology was interesting, I did not see myself working with fuels. So, I focused on hands-on product design and learned to analyze customer needs, conceptualize solutions, model on Solidworks, and fabricate prototypes. Another revelation was that I needed an interdisciplinary outlook to be a good engineer. I pursued a minor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. As testimony to my strong foundation, I was a laboratory teaching assistant for the Power Systems and Circuit Applications course. Technical skills aided by soft skills leads to impact. I have served as the President of a 200+ member organization. This role taught me the value of effective leadership, the power of teamwork, and the art of clear communication. Designing is only the first step. Curious about what lies beyond, I explored mechanics by working on the biomechanical characterization of porcine stomach tissue for the design of minimally invasive surgical devices. I equipped myself with experimentation skills and finite-element analysis using Abaqus. Despite all, it is still the same issues that give me sleepless nights. Hence, I am eager to use my skills to develop efficient and sustainable solutions. My diverse engineering skills are ready to adapt and thrive wherever they're needed.โ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ง๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ : I would love to connect with you since I held your interest so far.
