Lead Engineer
Current- Leading a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.- Conducting performance appraisals, provide constructive feedback, and set development goals for team members to enhance their skills and career growth.- Addressing and resolving conflicts within the team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.- Acting as the primary technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders, communicating progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring that technical solutions align with business objectives.- Developing detailed project plans, outlining deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation, while managing risks and dependencies effectively.- Leading the design of a complex, cloud-native architecture that leverages microservices, Quarkus for fast startup times and low memory usage, Kubernetes for orchestration, and Docker for containerization.- Advocate and implement an API-first approach, ensuring that API contracts are designed and agreed upon before any code is written, using tools like Kong for API management.- Oversee the integration of various technologies, such as OAuth2 for security, Keycloak for identity and access management, and RHPAM (Red Hat Process Automation Manager) for business process management.- Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems using Grafana and Dynatrace to ensure system performance and reliability. Use Jaeger for distributed tracing to monitor microservices performance.- Ensure that OAuth2 is correctly implemented for secure API access, manage role-based access with Keycloak, and ensure compliance with industry standards.- Develop comprehensive testing strategies, including the use of WireMock for mocking external services, RestAssured for API testing, and Hamcrest for asserting expected results in unit tests.- Implement and manage feature toggles using Unleash, allowing for safe and controlled deployment of new features.
