Dixon Ip ( 葉文正 ) is a coffee technologist (#CoffeeTech) with a deep passion for applying science and technology to improve coffee quality and production. Holding master's degrees in Computer Science and Technology Management, he brings a unique analytical approach to coffee through education and research. As a Certified CQI Q Grader, Q Processing Professional, and Q Instructor, he enjoys sharing his knowledge to elevate industry standards.Beyond his academic and research background, Dixon has served as a head judge in World Coffee Championships. Using his insights, he develops practical tools and software to help the coffee industry achieve sensory consistency and excellence. Whether through education, judging, or developing innovative solutions, Dixon strives to advance the world of coffee, one cup at a time.Dixon's last appointment with GE was as CIO for Japan & Southeast Asia. He was responsible for driving cross-business information management and technology initiatives, promoting a unified GE approach ("one GE") from an IT perspective, and developing talents within the region.Dixon joined GE in 1997 as Asia manager of Corporate Information Services (CIS) in Hong Kong. In 2000, he established an Offshore Management Center (OMC) in India for messaging infrastructure. Today, the OMC manages more than 300 servers and 6000 network devices worldwide. With increasing responsibilities, Dixon's roles progressed to regional IM manager leading Corporate Information Services and Network Operations in Asia, becoming CIO for Greater China in 2002, and Asia CTO & Pole Leader of Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) in 2005.Prior to joining GE, Dixon worked at IBM Professional Services. While pursuing his higher degree, he served as a research and teaching assistant. As a teaching associate at HKUST in IT Entrepreneurship, he reviewed over 150 business plans and coached around 300 students.
