In this study, I am focused on understanding physical activity patterns and diet plans among South Asian women. My primary responsibilities include data collection, participant interviews, and analysis of health behaviors to identify cultural and social factors influencing diet and exercise choices.Ultimately, my team and I hope to develop targeted interventions that address potential barriers, promote healthier lifestyles, and reduce risks of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, or obesity within South Asians.

In this research study, I am assisting in examining the relationship between blood pressure knowledge and cardiovascular disease risk in college students, focusing on behavioral (physical activity, sleep), physical (blood pressure, weight, height), and mental health factors (depression, anxiety). My responsibilities include collecting physical health data from participants, administering interviews, and managing online questionnaire distribution.

In this position, I lead group and private lessons for students across different age groups and skill levels. I strive to foster a positive, disciplined, and motivating environment, while also managing class schedules and supporting enrollment efforts. Additionally, I mentored junior instructors and collaborated on marketing strategies to drive business growth.

As an EMT student, I completed a hands-on internship with Wake County EMS, gaining valuable experience in patient assessments, triage, and basic life support (BLS) in emergency settings. I applied medical protocols in high-pressure situations while reinforcing my commitment to patient-centered care.

Provided support to patients, families, and hospital staff by guiding visitors, assisting with patient transport, and delivering compassionate care in various hospital departments. Additionally, I gained insights into hospital operations and patient services by working closely with healthcare professionals.

I completed a prestigious eight-week program sponsored by Bank of America, focusing on leadership development, community service, and workforce readiness. Through interning at the YMCA of the Triangle Corporate Office, I implemented a Social Emotional Learning curriculum at YMCA’s youth engagement summer day camps, where I taught K-5 students to develop valuable interpersonal and social skills while improving their reading and math skills.
