•Manage the breeding and genotyping of laboratory animals used for clinical research purposes with scope including but not limited to immunology, cancer, and neurology.Key Projects, Highlights, & Accomplishments:•Observed the insertion of an implant into a pregnant mouse to monitor contractions (ongoing, results pending).•Experience performing routine euthanasia of laboratory animals according to the American Veterinary Medical Association’s (AVMA) Panel on Euthanasia.

•Under the supervision of Dr. Traci L. Parry, Ph.D., a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, conducted a research study on the potentialimpact of exercise and cancer growth.Key Projects, Highlights, & Accomplishments:•Discovered that mitophagy activation in response to acute exercise reduced the growth of tumors, shared findings with the team, and documented them for future publication.•Hypothesized that exercise could potentially reduce the spread of cancer cells and improve patient outcomes in combination with a medical regimen.

•Studied the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of tumors in addition to their effects on the human body’s cardiovascular and muscular systems.

•Aided physicians throughout shift to update medical records including medical history, physical examinations, and lab results. •Documented description of patients’ ailments and chief complaints into medical jargon; obtained detailed understanding of medical terminology and translation of medical abbreviations.
