I have gone the full gamut of duties within healthcare IT in my past, and lately I have moved into management. My duties focus primary on design and running the various development teams to build the best laboratory information systems (LIS) out there. I enjoy mentoring, talking about the technology, keeping up with healthcare trends, new challenges, and keeping up with latest technologies, especially when relating to healthcare. I could never be a doctor, but I can at least apply my skills to healthcare in my own unique way. I really love what I do, and if you don't believe me, have a conversation with me. I love being able to break complex ideas down in a way that even non-IT folks can understand, so as to get the most out of every conversation. I find almost everyone has good ideas when you are able to communicate.
