Implementing various climate initiatives under EDC’s Climate Change Policy and ESG Strategy

As an Associate on the ESRM Centre of Expertise team, I:- deliver written products to implement ESRM’s various policies;- research, update and develop position papers on emerging ESG issues;- analyze data to increase the team’s understanding of our business exposure to certain risks;- provide technical support in improving the ESG due diligence methodology and tools;- work to increase efficiency in ESRM’s information management through projects and continuous improvements.

As an intern with the Environmental and Social Risk Management team at EDC, I am able to gain and exercise a myriad of skills throughout the work term. My main experiences are through: - Desktop research and screenings to support advisors on the environmental and social risk reviews- Research special topics of interest to provide context to EDC's position on related issues- Consolidating consultation feedbacks during the policy review process - Strategizing and contributing to EDC's env. and social risk review methodology revision

Working to improve sustainability and energy management of the on and off campus residences of McGill University:- Administered sustainable initiatives in over 20 residences buildings- Orchestrated organic waste diversion programs in cafeterias and residences- Led Inter-residence energy conservation competition between 10 buildings- Researched to make McGill a leading institution in sustainable efforts- Platinum LEED certification of residence building (Pilot Project)
