Allow me to introduce myself; I am DJ Lex hailing from the vibrant city of Oakland, California. I proudly stand as one of the foundational figures in the ascension of Hip Hop culture here in the Bay Area. To delve into my illustrious professional journey, let's skip the humble beginnings and focus on my substantial contributions.For an incredible two-decade span, I was the fith soul DJ for none other than Souls of Mischief, a group that ranks as the 36th greatest in Hip Hop history. This remarkable journey took me across the globe, where I graced thousands of stages with unforgettable performances. While sharing the limelight with industry titans, I honed my craft, delving into the intricacies of live sound and acquiring invaluable knowledge from some of the finest engineers on Earth. This fusion of skills catapulted me into the elite ranks, earning me a spot among the top 20 Tour DJs of all time.But my journey didn't end there. I also dedicated substantial time touring and collaborating with the legendary LIVING LEGENDS Crew, both domestically and internationally, in support of their groundbreaking albums. Furthermore, I had the distinct honor of working alongside Pep Love, an icon in the annals of hip-hop history. After Touring Life I devoted my time to give back to my community, so I embarked on a new venture. I founded "Wax Trippin," a platform designed to nurture and promote independent hip-hop artists right here in the Bay Area. This endeavor has yielded tremendous success, supporting over 120 artists who have undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the scene.Fast-forward to the present day, where I've joined forces with "Hip Hop for the People," a nonprofit organization led by artist/revolutionist Khafre Jay. Together, we are poised to drop an exciting new album this year, and a tour is on the horizon. Our mission is clear: to share our wealth of experiences, both on and off the stage, with audiences worldwide.
