Perform radiographic and penetrant inspection on aerospace parts, including flight safety components. Develop NDT techniques to ensure quality for both internal and external customers. Identify metallurgical defects and assist in root cause corrective action implementation. Lead internal and third-party audits, including NADCAP and ISO9001. Research, develop and introduce new and innovative approaches to work more efficiently and increase productivity levels. Train employees on product changes, standards, annual safety programs, work methods and departmental expectations. Manage the x-ray department flow. Supervise and train NDT personnel, including new Level II readers, on inspection techniques. Enforce all company policies and procedures in accordance with the current labor agreement plant rules, quality, safety, workmanship, and attendance. Ensure compliance to the labor union agreement and the company’s “Mission Statement of Business”.
