I am highly-driven creative in the San Francisco Bay Area looking to expand my architectural network. As a designer, I thrive in intense, dynamic, and complex environments where design solutions are generated through a collaboration of theoretical, social, and cultural understanding and the provocations of juxtaposed relationships.I have 20+ years of cross-disciplinary experience and a diverse skill set. Prior to BCV, I developed multiple park structures as Design Captain for the transformative India Basin Shoreline Park while at JENSEN Architects. Sited within the 9-acre park, the six new structures include a welcome center, food pavilion, maintenance building, multipurpose event space, restrooms and a boathouse.Prior to JENSEN, I was with BRAVURA Architects for 14 years. For nearly eight of those years, I was intensely engaged with The Parklands of Floyds Fork- a 4,000 acre world-class integrated public park system along Floyds Fork Creek in Louisville, KY. The Parklands is one of the nation’s largest and most exciting metropolitan parks projects in the country with a 20-mile recreational trail, a scenic park drive and 100 miles of new hiking, biking and equestrian trails. My involvement spanned from Master Planning to Construction Documents to Construction Administration. Beginning with the Master Plan, I worked closely with the Landscape Architects- Wallace Roberts & Todd- on programming, road and trail alignments, cost estimating, and the overall thematic design of the park’s buildings and bridges. Architecturally, I was charged with designing the park’s 11,000 sf community center (Gheens Foundation Lodge), the park’s welcome center (PNC Achievement Center for Education and Interpretation), The Ogle Foundation Woodland Pavilion, and other incidental structures. My other roles with the park included assisting the client with graphic needs; designing and implementing the park’s way finding signage; and advising the client on property acquisitions.
