My current full-time position is in the Office of Student Affairs at Auburn University as a Senior Technical Support Analyst. I am working to provide sound technical solutions for all of the departments and services under the Student Affairs umbrella on campus. Having worked two years in the core IT office at Auburn and 20+ years in the .com sector at both TSYS and BlueCross BlueShield of Georgia, I leverage that experience to help improve software products and solutions that serve our ever-growing student population here at AU!I am also currently a digital and fill-in on-air meteorologist in a freelance role for Gray Communications. I primarily pitch in at WTVM-TV in Columbus, Ga. but also help out farther down the road at WALB-TV in Albany, Ga. I have become fluent in WSI MAX weather presentation software and use that to tell a story to viewers both on the air and also on the stations’ social media and web channels. Having grown up in the Columbus area and with a lot of friends and family in South Georgia as well, I have a passion for helping people when severe or other high-impact weather is a threat. I enjoy being able to leverage my unrivaled knowledge of local geography and landmarks to give people a hyper-local account of where severe weather is threatening and allow them ample time to protect themselves, their families, and their property. Outside of those roles, I also serve as the president and booking agent for the local football officiating association for the Alabama High School Athletic Association and am the public address voice and arena DJ for the Columbus River Dragons minor league hockey team.
