As a graduate researcher at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University’s Joint School of Nanoscience & Nanoengineering (JSNN), my curriculum encompassed a broad subject matter of nanotechnology, material science, and energy storage/conversion. Conducting novel research on the synthesis of thermal regulating polyacrylonitrile nanofibers (PAN) for use in textiles, I effectively applied diverse nano-techniques to investigate both the theoretical and experimental characteristics of nanoscale science. Successfully completing this integrative research taught me a greater understanding of the interdisciplinary topics associated with nanoscale heat transfer, resulting in a distinct technical perspective, published thesis, and pending patent.
