Grew from Day 0 to processing $2+ billion annually for 1+ million customers; $125MM+ raised from Kleiner Perkins, Flybridge, Khosla, DST, B Capital.I've always played whatever role the company needed most – from developing our initial payments platform, to writing patents and managing trademark filings, to driving service & risk functions, to leading operational & marketing partnerships, to steering design & product direction, and closing our biggest ($100MM+) deals. This has typically looked something like the following: Step 1) focus in on a specific aspect of our business,Step 2) lay down the heavy groundwork for success,Step 3) build up a team to take things over, and then Step 4) move on to the next biggest challenge.-----Some personal highlights:• Negotiated with the Canadian government to become the first and only credit card processor for personal and corporate tax payments.• Led the creation of an all-new web app, which drove a sustained 20-point increase in all core conversion funnels.• Brokered the first non-bank connection into the Canadian bill payment system, enabling thousands of billers to be paid by card for the first time ever.• Partnered with IDEO on an innovative "pay bill by photo" iOS App (featured in the App Store).• Crafted a strong compliance position in US and Canada (re: FINTRAC/FinCEN, AML/BSA, MSB/MTL, etc.)• Supervised powerful email engagement and lead gen campaigns (40% - 60% open; 2% - 12% CTR).• Re-built our entire risk infrastructure, including data ETL, rules engine, case management, and review interfaces.• PM'd a Plastiq referral program, which organically grew to account for over 15% of new payment volume.
