Consulting with management teams and founders of start-up and high-growth companies, from the pre-finance and planning stage to the post-financing implementation and management stage. Practice has focused mainly on private companies with revenues up to $10 M.

Assumed a newly created CEO leadership role in a multiple-location General Dentistry company desiring to expand. Worked alongside current shareholders and owners to set strategy and implement a plan for growth. Successfully restructured the company for growth, accessed growth capital and facilitated an equity buyout for the main shareholders while bringing an additional partner into the company.

Assumed the Managing Partner leadership role in the start-up of a multi-physician medical clinic and pharmacy. Oversaw the implementation from pre-financing and planning to the growth to three locations with 30 staff and over 100,000 patient visits annually. Responsible for all aspects of the management, finances and operations, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.

Worked alongside the founders of an all-natural energy drink to plan and model the start-up. Led the founding team through an iterative process to select the optimum number of product SKU’s and sizes, as well as the costing and pricing of the product, including the manufacturing and distribution choices. Company was funded with over $5M of seed capital and the product was taken to the market.

Assumed the Chief Financial Officer position of a $7.3 million beeswax candle manufacturing company that had experienced massive growth in the preceding three years and was experiencing major cash flow and operational challenges. Responsible for identifying, measuring and correcting financial and operational issues that had occurred during the expansion. Corrective actions included: (1) Identifying and selling an under performing section of the company. (2) Relocating the manufacturing operations to Mexico from Canada and (3) Merging with a related company to access both cash and knowledge capital. Responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the changes.
