Led effort to assess and recommend improvements to Application Security processes as part of a large program evaluating all aspects of Information Protection. Selected and piloted a new static application security testing (SAST) tool, planned training on modified governance and project processes and selected on-line training for developers.Designed and led the first enterprise-wide program to update the PC desktop configuration (Internet Explorer 9). Tested, upgraded and remediated, as necessary, 900+ web-dependent applications in preparation for deployment. Employed a risk-based approach and implemented an efficient test factory model to manage costs with minimal and agreed business risk. Completed the effort on-time and below budget.Managed R&D transnational Desktop Upgrade Program to migrate to Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) and Windows 7 as part of GSK-wide effort. Tested and remediated 500+ computer applications and deployed to 15K PCs. Both upgrades met time and budget requirements.Led Data Center Consolidation Program for R&D. Migrated approximately 700 applications, in a regulated environment, from three data centers in two countries to new Global Data Center. Completed the moves on time, with no impact to business functions. Improved application data quality during preparation and facilitated closures/sales of the existing facilities.
