As the Quality Assurance Manager I am responsible for restructuring our current quality system to account for our continuing rapid growth. I have instituted fully electronic (and FDA 21 CFR 11 compliant) systems for managing document control, design control, complaints, training management, CAPAs and Nonconformances. Using these systems I have streamlined current processes, allowed for additional metric development and reduced administration workload and time. Additionally I serve as the Quality representative on our ERP implementation board and work directly with our software vendors to improve functionality.

In this role I was responsible for coordinating the disposition and corrective actions for production nonconformances, quality metric development and managing the document control system. Through the institution of an Access database I was able to develop tracking and trending for nonconformances and CAPAs reported to senior management.

As a QE I was responsible for leading cross-department quality initiatives, establishing quality metrics, performing statistical analysis as well as data mining. Additionally I was the document custodian for the Quality department. While in this position I developed the company calibration system maintaining the calibration records of over 700 gages, redefined the requirements for international service orders saving the company over $50,000 in fines from Chinese customs and I developed our quality reporting metrics for senior management.
