Quality Program Manager at Duke Energy's Lark Maintenance Center: developed, implemented, & managed the Quality Program at Lark Maintenance Center, an in house Duke Energy corporate repair facility. The Lark Quality Program was designed as an orginizational quality management system that is intricately intertwined into the Lark business model covering all facets of the organization beyond basic QA, QC, and QE functions. Facility welding SPOC: De-facto welding engineer for the site. I maintained welder qualifications, qualified welders, qualified welding procedures, ran PWHT cycles, researched & provided guidance on other material & welding concerns including Code compliance. Lark deals with various grades of carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic metals on a routine basis and performs most welding to ASME B&PVC.Facility Destructive (DE) & Non-destructive (NDE) examination SPOC: as a multidisciplined inspector I performed and evaluated destructive and non-destructive testing on site to include, weld examination & bend testing, VT, PT, & UT-T examinations. I also facilitated/oversaw all other examination, and testing needs with facility personnel, metallurgy lab, or contracted vendors when needed (e.g. RT, MT, metallographic sample analysis).Facility Technical Director: I managed repair and overhaul projects for gasifier feed injectors for our facility as well as turbine generator diaphragms. Each of these projects were heavily welding based.Lark services the needs of Duke Energy's fossil, hydro, and nuclear power generating stations fleet wide and primarily performs reverse engineering, design, modification, and refurbishment of pumps and pump components, however, most any fleet need can be and has been met to include turbine generator components, valve components, and other miscellaneous needs.
