Working to OXY client (Occidental Petroleum) in Mukhaizna oilfield in South of Sultanate of Oman with very heavy WBM up to 20.1 ppg weighted up with micronized Barite.Challenges of the project:- Remote location (MUKHAIZNA oilfield)- WBM up to 20.1 ppg- Well control operations. Killed the well (1344 psi increased in SPP) with Engineer's Method of well control.- Micronized Barite- Barite sag tendency- High friccion- Salt domes and very plastic formations

I was requested back by Halliburton-Baroid to head up a high profile gas well start-up project, as Lead Drilling Fluids Engineer in offshore off the coast of Qatar (Persian Gulf) near maritime border with Iran.First Engineer to arrive in Qatar to start up the project (Baroid / Qatargas) I worked many months straight to implement the plan and carrying out Drilling Fluids operation in North Field gas area. Worked for Qatargas (Fusion 50% Exxon Mobil and 50% Qatar Petroleum) with Inhibited NaCl Polymer WBM in Jack-ups rigs offshore off the coast of Qatar.Requested by Halliburton technical team to be surrogate GTFA for the project (Global Technical Field Advisor) for the critical first well (NFR11-8) in 8.5 inch reservoir section. Due to high performance shown and very positive feedback from the customer, won to Halliburton an extra exploratory data well that was initially planned to go to another fluid provider. Challenges of the project: - Thermal stability and differential sticking management;- Sudair water flow (pressurized trapped water in SUDAIR formation);- Losses;- Stress caging in fractured formations;- Anhydrite (Calcium contamination);- Shale instability;- Maximum gas levels of 83% while drilling reservoir section;- High tendency of gas influx (H2S and CO2);- High tendency of Barite sag at 60° deviation;- Special lab tests of the project: Brookfield rheometer 0.3 rpm LV-2C Spindle, VSST / Sag Index (Si), PPT test, Excess Sulfites, Amine concentration test;

Part of the Newpark Drilling Fluids start-up team of operations in KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) to Saudi Aramco client. Working in NBR-115 rig in onshore unconventional area in the region of Jafurah desert and Salwa desert, border with Qatar (HMYM / HISN / HESN fields in unconventional resources / gas wells).Several drilling records was broken to Aramco with NBR-115 rig as 16" hole, 12"hole, 8 3/8" hole and 8 3/8" pilot hole.
