Leadership ~ Innovation ~ Results Douglas is the Director, Talent Development for Providence Health. Providence is a leading not-for-profit health system that is committed to improving the health of the communities it serves, especially the poor and the vulnerable. Douglas utilizes a design thinking approach to craft leadership development experiences that improve leadership effectiveness, support clinical value improvement, and the incubation and development of new care delivery models. Trained in the disciplines of ethnography and qualitative research, Douglas’ keen eye for seeing underlying patterns in organizational dynamics helps leaders see clearly how to align organizational strategy to business/organization growth aspirations. Other areas of focus include human-centered design and innovation. Prior to his current role, Douglas served as the lead for organization design for Hewlett-Packard Co.’s printing and imaging franchise, a business strategist for Hewlett-Packard Co.’s commercial software business, and a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University. Douglas has an enduring commitment to community service having served on the board of a private school, and a non-profit organization serving the economically displaced. Douglas holds a Masters of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication from Arizona State University.
