About Jeff Milton

With over 25 years of experience in life sciences, biotechnology, and cell biology, I am the CEO of La Jolla Labs, a high-throughput technology company for drug discovery. I have a passion for aviation and hold multiple pilot certifications, including seaplane, instrument, and tailwheel ratings. Previously, I was the Senior Director and Head of Data Science at Arcturus Therapeutics, where I led the development and implementation of data-driven strategies for mRNA therapeutics. I also served as a Director and Associate Director at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, where I managed several teams and projects in functional genomics, bioinformatics, and antisense drug discovery. I am also a member of the Carnegie Mellon University Mellon College of Science Dean’s Council, where I support the academic and research excellence of my alma mater. I am driven by the mission of improving human health and well-being through cutting-edge science and technology, and I value collaboration, diversity, and creativity.
