My work involved largely independent activities of the following: starting and maintaining seed trays in the greenhouse; growing an assortment of annual vegetables in fields and season extension high tunnels; planting seeds and transplants into the field by way of waterwheel; harvesting and processing for CSA and Farmer Markets; spraying organic pesticides for preventative and curative purposes; consulting; participating in problem solving concerning issues experienced by the farm, especially surveying for and reducing populations of disease and insect pests; managing employees, and erecting several high tunnels.

Activities include and are not limited to:Research and design of energy efficient greenhouses and high tunnels; Research and design of hydroponic growing methods and systems;Market assessments and industry reviews as a basis for crop selection;Creating on-farm protocols which reflect GAP and NOP standards;Generation of long-term plans and concepts for expanding into high value markets;Management and group coordination.

Activities include and are not limited to:botanical research with emphasis on useful plants and cultivation thereof;development of natural products from indigenous resources for use in medicine, food, and cosmetics;photographic documentation of plants and people.
