As well as holding several Board-level positions, I am a Co-Founder and Director of Ventures & Strategy Partnering Regeneration Development Ltd. (PRD), which I co-founded in April 2013. Further details about PRD are provided under "Experience".I have almost 18 years experience of developing bespoke, partnered strategies and operational models for socioeconomic regeneration; by working with the public, private and voluntary & community sectors and directly with local communities; in both the development and delivery phases.Over the past seven years, a significant part of my work has involved extensive engagement with the public sector and partners, to identify new strategic approaches that enable public bodies to realise their wider corporate objectives, within the constraints of the challenging economic climate.I am an experienced, highly motivated and conscientious professional, with strong communication, written and presentation skills and a demonstrable track record of winning and delivering successful projects and partnerships.I also offer proven strategic development skills to deliver business growth and I have experience of managing and developing teams and leading client engagement; in a variety of domestic and overseas environments.Since 2016 I have been a Member of the Board of Meridian Home Start and have supported this business through an exciting period of growth and transition; with the aim of delivering a significant increase in the housing stock developed and held by Meridian.

This included both domestic and international projects in the following sectors: Regeneration and Development, Social Housing PFI, Roads and Street lighting, Education, Health, Fire and Police.Received the Chief Executive’s Award in 2010 for the integrated socioeconomic regeneration strategy I developed and directed for the Croydon Council Urban Regeneration Vehicle (CCURV); a 28 year strategic partnership that will deliver regeneration projects totaling £450 million. This strategy is already delivering significant local impacts including an innovative partnership with an Apprenticeship Training Agency that improves the yield of apprenticeships; training and sustainable employment for ex-offenders and long-term unemployed residents; and over £7 million supply chain contracts for local businesses linked to the first two developments. The Council is using my strategy as the template for all major projects procured through its Capital Projects Delivery Hub.Identification of emerging commercial opportunities and changing trends that would stimulate client demand for established or new forms of PPP. This led to tangible opportunities. Development of new PPP models with external partners. Examples include strategic property partnerships for NHS Foundation Trusts, Universities and “Total Capital” partnerships; and the potential use of Community Interest Companies and other social models within PPPs.Liaison with senior clients across the public sector, securing initial contacts and developing marketing collateral, “think pieces” and strategic proposals to support them to bring projects to market. Responding to major government consultations and calls for evidence about national and local policy.I advised Japanese and Australian government delegations about the use of Local Asset Backed Vehicles and other partnership approaches for regeneration. When the partnership was formed John Laing was appointed to look at 38 of the most important council-owned assets as potential development sites.Historically, the Council has sold its assets off for housing or development and this money has been used to support services. If this is done piecemeal it accrues costs. The idea was to put the 38 most important assets to a hypothetical pot for the regeneration company to come forward with ideas for development. These will go before the full council at several key stages for decisions before they are transferred to the regeneration company. The Council gets a guaranteed value for the asset, which is determined at the point of development not now, and a 50 per cent return on the profits of the projects, as opposed to the developer keeping all of the profits.
