About Daniel Jorge Quiñones

Daniel has 20 years of experience in various technical and managerial positions in IT. He started his IT career as a VAX/VMS system administrator in Nuremburg, Germany working at the now closed US Army Hospital supporting the DOD Health Care EMR system known as Composite Health Care System (CHCS). Over the years, Daniel designed and built the first Network Operations Center (NOC) for Maritz, Inc. in St. Louis. Chaired a telecomm symposium at Network World + InterOp in Las Vegas. After 9/11, Daniel began to move his career to the IT Service Management side with a focus on ITIL. He holds certifications in ITIL v2, v3, and 2011. Daniel has led or been a part of a team performing ITSM Assessments and implementations at several Fortune 100 companies.In 2012, Daniel began to look at knowledge as the new focal point for ITIL. It is equally as important as the CMDB is. His desire is to build awareness about the value and benefit of Knowledge Management not just in IT, in every business, large or small.Daniel now runs a Knowledge Management Community of Practice in the DFW area.
