About Dan Summa

Dan is a digital storyteller with over 30 years experience, spending 15 of those working with Junior High and High School students in youth ministries. He created the News Media Internship Program at Delta Charter High School in Tracy, CA, working with Instructor John Lautenslager. Starting with just 5 students, over 100 have since become involved, with 12 of them being hired on at the City of Tracy’s Public Access station.Dan managed the City of Tracy’s Public Access (PEG) station with the help of staff and volunteers, creating original content for broadcast on cable, social media, and the web. Partnering with Delta Charter High School, he produced the city’s annual State of the City Address, broadcast live on Facebook, YouTube, Comcast and AT&T. Student interns provided camera and sound operation and support.DJS Media Consulting is a full service video and sound production company, as well as a business consulting organization. Its mission is to help and encourage organizations to create their own media internships and programs tailored for their specific needs.
