I have a passion for helping children to learn and become independent thinkers. At a young age I wanted to be a teacher and by taking that path I was led to work with many children of cultural, linguistic, and ability differences. My most recent commitment has been providing behavior therapy to children on the autism spectrum. Working with children is rewarding to me because it reminds me of the boundless possibilities of a child's thinking and allows me to encourage the future leaders to remain bold, creative, and confident. My personal life influences my professional goals because I faced many barriers in my childhood and adolescence that I was able to transcend. For my future, I am committed to the development of a preschool in the Pocono Mountains that provides high quality early education at an affordable cost by collaborating with regional and state associations to meet the needs of families of any socio-economic status without discrimination. Beyond my personal experience, I aspire to be a pioneer in ending systemic racism by providing equal opportunities for BIPOC children and families to get exceptional early learning in my care.With a strong education, unique life experience, and a commitment to social justice, I am dedicated to the families in my community. I desire to grow my partnership with local organizations to collaborate and invest in the lives of the local youth.
