Classic cars face a difficult dilemma in a clean energy future, to either become a perfectly restored but unused symbol of the past or to be given a new opportunity, one to maintain their nostalgia while fitting into a practical world. Here lies the Zero Labs mission, to continue the life of sentimental objects.Responsible for all interior and exterior design direction for multiple vehicle models along with non published development vehicles.- Creation and communication of design concepts and finalized designs through sketches, renderings, animations and written reports to the company, clients and CEO.- Providing the company with working prototypes, specifications, BOMs, drawings and manufacturing reviews while working with project management to define fulfillment plans and procurement/tool/capability/assembly requirements.- Work closely with a talented team of external suppliers and in-house specialists in mechanical engineering, battery systems, technical assembly and a multitude of manufacturing disciplines i.e. CNC machining, upholstery, sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting/marking, mold making, screen printing, plating, anodizing.- Consistently meet extremely tight deadlines whilst remaining flexible and adaptive to change.- Maintain a working knowledge of material and process technologies applicable to new product development.- Tireless attention to originality in design details congruent with the brand's ethos.- Research and define relevant objectives of each component/sub assembly/accessory on the vehicle.- Communicate effectively with teammates, departments and external resources to ensure new product development success.- Thinking out of the box to evolve and pursue sustainability in the automotive industry.- Establishing brand identity through graphic design of marketing material and apparel merchandise.- Coaching junior team members on all projects.

Markt und Design is an award winning product design consultancy located in Dusseldorf Germany. Delivering innovation with focus on integrating the client's brand ethos. Alongside sister companies AQD, Moree and Brandivision, services expand to include full in house product development and brand licensing. As industrial designer for Markt und Design I am experienced in a variety of disciplines above just 3D design. Working in a small team and fast paced environment has exposed me to the full design process from concept sketch to sale in store. I now have numerous products available for sale which I was involved in the entire process. My role includes:• Expansive sketch ideation based on the defined specifications and parameters.• Research analysis and brainstorming in group development sessions.• Focused innovation on new products utilizing both modern and future technology. • Using a variety of materials to produce 3D volumetric models and develop working prototypes. • Using 3D CAD to accurately engineer product assembly, including final surfacing and internal structure. • Collaboration with both in-house and external engineers to evaluate 3D model for manufacture. • Distribution of detailed component BOM and final product specification sheets. • Visiting engineers in Hong Kong and suppliers in China to oversee manufacture, including quality control of initial off tool batches. • Collaboration with manufacturers to innovative streamlining solutions.• Design and production of packaging, branding material, visual marketing and patent drawings of products. • Design of POS furniture and display units for a variety of environments and scenarios, focusing on engagement with the brand and products through tailored interaction.• Design of exhibition stands. Including regular exhibition hosting and attendance within Europe.
