Living in Japan near Yokosuka about an hour south of Tokyo. I am a stay-at-home dad & 2020 graduate from UMGC with a degree in Business Management, and a minor in Small Business Management.In the middle of 2014 I retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of honorable service. While in the United States Marine Corps, I was a Logistician & a Recruiter.As a Logistician I deployed to the Mediterranean & Middle East on several occasions.I supported humanitarian missions in Indonesia, Galveston Texas, and Haiti.While on Recruiting Duty I was "Rookie Recruiter of the Year" for Recruiting Station San Antonio and finished recruiting as a Centurion which is the highest award for Marine Corps Recruiting.After retiring from the Marine Corps, I became a SAHD and started going to school full time to finish my college education.Covid hit while I was finishing up my degree and my kids stayed home where I began their homeschooling, 18 months later they are back in school and I am continuing to educate myself.

Primary duties for CCOs assigned to the Navy’s type commander (TYCOM) chain of command, otherwise known as the Navy’s administrative chain of command, include ensuring that amphibious ships are staffed, trained, equipped, and maintained to support embarked force requirements. The primary duties of CCOs assigned to amphibious squadrons (PHIBRONs) or ships include coordinating, planning, and obtaining information from the embarking forces before actual embarkation and debarkation. Additionally, ships’ CCOs fulfill the role of inspector and adviser to the commanding officer (CO) in order to ensure maintenance and modernization of landing force (LF) spaces, habitability, and shipboard systems, that support LF operations and logistic requirements. The combat cargo assistant (CCA) assists the CCO in performing these primary duties. In the absence of the CCO, the CCA—or senior CCA on larger ships—acts as the CCO.

They serve on General officer staffs at the MEF, MARFOR, and HQMC level and conduct planning and execution of MAFTF deployments at the strategic level. Logistics/mobility chiefs articulate command strategic mobility requirements both present and future to appropriate agencies, such as; Headquarters Marine Corps, U.S. Transportation Command and her three Transportation Component Commands (TCCs); Surface Deployment Distribution Command, Military Sealift Command, and air Mobility Command. As the logistics/mobility chiefs' career progresses, they are assigned to Naval and Joint staffs as a liaison for the Marine Corps where they provide interface and address Marine Corps' mobility and lift requirements. They can also be assigned to serve with the TCCs as liaisons to convey the MAGTF commander's operational requirements to support unit moves at the operational/strategic level.

They are trained in the doctrinal concepts of landing support and the landing force support party; conducting port, arrival/departure airfield, helicopter landing zone, and rail head operations. The landing support specialist is also trained in the application of Automated Information Systems (AIS) that are utilized throughout the Defense Transportation System (DTS) to track, and interface movement data with load planning programs and joint AIS to support the FDP and E process and In Transit Visibility (ITV) NCOs and Staff NCOs plan, conduct, and supervise landing support operations and training. At the MAGTF level, they assist with the throughput of unit personnel, supplies and equipment. They also assist with the preparation, planning, and execution of strategic mobility plans in accordance with the Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) used to deploy and sustain forward deployed forces. At the SNCO level, they will also serve as Combat Cargo Assistants (CCAs) onboard naval amphibious assault ships.
