Meat Possum Press’s second book, Freak Power: Hunter S. Thompson’s Campaign for Sheriff was released in 2015 and catalogued the Gonzo Journalist's irreverent and imaginative political escapade in 1970 and was turned into the documentary film Freak Power: The Ballot or the Bomb. The Meat Possum Press plans to release its third book, To Aspen and Back, in 2022 featuring writing by Peggy Clifford and over 200 photos curated by David Hiser and the Aspen Historical Society.
