As a Resident Assistant (RA) I assist freshman students through the personal adjustment into college by planing and organizing social and academic activities. Additionally, I enforce the policies and procedures designed by the Department of Residence Life and the college. Another responsibility is to serve as a role model for my residents and all students of the college. Lastly I develop a sense of community among all residents to make the transition to college much easier. By doing this I can directly impact import factors to the college such as retention and academic excellence through a positive living experience.
