Responsible for transforming enterprise technology at RH, leveraging architectural best practices to design, plan, engineer and operate next generation cloud commerce, OMS, payment and supply chain systems. Some successful contributions I have made include the creation and production delivery of:• RH’s Application Platform (RHAPsody) - built a custom PaaS and CI/CD self-service framework in the cloud that allowed RH engineers to quickly migrate existing and create new applications to the cloud.• Modern tagging, analytics and multi-variant testing to create a baseline and subsequently measure new ecommerce experience improvements.• A new progressive web application mobile and desktop experience served from a single React code base. This ground-up build doubled mobile traffic over RH' previous experience and increased conversion across all channels.• A chat/co-browsing solution that quickly enabled RH to conduct business during COVID. This feature allowed RH business to quickly turn the corner and increase YOY revenue while stores were closed.• RH’s enterprise domain model that organized and consolidated all RH functionality into a reusable, easy to maintain micro-service platform that in turn accelerated business agility, vertical and horizontal business expansion into emerging global markets.• Real-time capture of entire order lifecycle events, necessary to facilitate the rapid creation of business insight dashboards, fulfillment prediction, order tracking applications as well as the foundation for OMS migration. This allowed RH to monitor and proactively respond to supply chain disruption.• Modernized e-Commerce, customer, product, order and fulfillment capabilities within the cloud. This allow RH to recreate the entire web experience, providing sophisticated custom product configuration capabilities and greater fidelity over targeted merchandising of products and services at the global and local level.

Responsible for the end-to-end architecture, design, development and delivery of Travelport’s next generation global hotel/car distribution system used to power worldwide bookings of hotels and cars by numerous travel agencies and online booking engines. I delivered modern, rich integrations with top tier hotel and car suppliers as well as tour operators, channel aggregators and corporate booking tools. By doing so, the value of TravelPort global distribution services, serving as a one stop shop for travel, was increased resulting in greater customer satisfaction and business expansion.

Responsible for the end-to-end architecture, design, development and delivery of Staples current and next generation e-Commerce platforms - serving as the 3rd largest internet retail marketplace by sales. Led global teams composed of the brightest ecommerce minds in Broomfield CO, Seattle WA, Cambridge MA and Framingham MA responsible for ecommerce platform/application architecture, security, content management, landing pages, global product catalog publishing, intraday pricing/promotions, vertical brand shop micro-experiences and mobile web development. Some key contributions include:• Cultural transformation to and maturation of Agile development practices that served to provide the iteratively accelerate and refine software delivery.• Delivery of Netflix OSS based platform and application technology leveraged to replace legacy staples.com (IBM WCS) with a custom build e-Commerce marketplace in the cloud. This allowed Staples to expand assortment, create new experiences at scale such as homepage takeover of Black Friday “lightning deals”, custom microsites and better service emerging international expansion.• Delivery of a completely new single adaptive user experience, capable of simultaneously servicing desktop web, tablet, kiosk and mobile form factors. This simplified maintenance and enhancements by utilizing a single code base to control omni-channel experiences.• Hardening global e-Commerce security in achieve successful PCI/SOX compliance.

Responsible for the development and delivery of United’s host services gateway (HSG). HSG serves as the SOA integration platform accelerating the unification of IT capabilities in support of the United/Continental merger. HSG consolidated complex Passenger Service System (PSS) business rules, data and functionality as web services for easy business. Today, HSG capabilities also serve to expand United’s integration with Global Distribution Systems and Alliance partners, travel agents and other internal systems. On this journey I led the successful:• Delivery of Economy Plus Upsell, a project forecast to generate $1M revenue/month.• Delivery of a new dynamic flight selection increasing the accuracy of flight availability while reducing TCO through the elimination manual processes.• Integration of Star Alliance partner revenue management systems, providing United and Star Alliance partners with the ability to dynamically price shared routes to maximize revenue.

I was responsible for the overall technology delivery & operation of IHG's world-class contact center and hotel product portfolios. Areas of responsibility include software development, program management, maintenance & software support, account management, and business partner engagement.

I was responsible for successfully delivering Starwood’s property technology strategy, including the architecture, planning, budgeting, staffing, design, development, quality assurance and implementation of large scale projects, guest and associate facing channels, special development, R&D product incubation, and complex central services.

I served BEA as a principal consultant on multiple high profile customer engagements for companies such as Qwest, Delta Airlines, and Vattenfall AB Sweden.

I led the development of Sabre’s proprietary message-oriented middleware and SOA infrastructure consolidating all new and legacy Sabre back-end systems together and bundling them into an extensible and scalable set of business services. These business services served as the foundation for all Sabre application development. I also delivered a secure service repository containing interface stubs, specifications and metadata associated with each business service.

I led the TravelPort’s direct access products team. I was responsible for the incubation, design, development, delivery and maintenance of branded airline products that enabled leisure and corporate travel customers to directly book and manage air, car and hotel services from their desktop PCs.
