About Per Klitgård

MAIN FOCUS AREAS: Business Transformation | Customer Centricity and Innovation | Commercial Focus and Performance. After having headed the acquisition and merger of two of Denmark's largest pension companies, I subsequently took the lead in a broad and wide-ranging business transformation of the new entity, i.e. taking out all synergies (knowledge, performance and cost).Since the ongoing integration process is on track, i.e. progressing fully in line with our plans, I decided to leave my position as CEO of the merged entity in October 2018. This didn’t mean a total ‘farewell’ to the company, however, as I continue my role from a new seat as member of the company’s Board of Directors.My wish is to commence a new ‘career as a professional Board Member of a number of Danish and international companies. My wish is a diversified portfolio of board positions – both in terms of industry and size – while also putting emphasis on being available as a challenging discussion partner and sounding board to a small number of senior leaders; primarily within my own fields of experience and expertise (i.e. transforming businesses, attracting talents and how to compose the optimal management team).Prior to my career as a Board Member, I have been President (CEO & EVP) of some of Denmark's leading companies in the financial sector for the past 20 years.Please go to www.perklitgaard.dk to download my full resume, including my Capabilities Statement.

Results include:- Acquisition of SEB Pension in 2017, which will be integrated into the Danica platform and service model- Design and implementation of a new service platform in the private customer area (omni channel, digital solutions, contact centre in combination with physical meetings) 2004-2011- Design and implementation of a new operating model in the B2B area (consolidation of regions, centralisation, standardisation)- Strengthening of collaboration with Danske Bank -Increase in sales to private customers by 159% from 2013 to 2017 -Increase in sales of company pension schemes by 325% from 2013 to 2017- Complete rebuild of investment organisation, taking Danica from ranked 4-6 among peers in 2012-2015 to ranked 2 in 2017- Cost reductions (from 830 FTEs in 2011 to 677 FTEs in 2017 with 45% higher premium income)- Awarded as Denmark’s best pension provider in 2016 and 2017 by World Finance- Awarded the IPE award for best innovation in Europe in 2013 for the Danica Pension Check, a digital advice and self-service tool
