For Unum's HR Connect team, I own the overall relationship with our partners at UKG (fka Kronos) and the Absence solution for both UKG and Workday. I provide vision and business insight to lead two IT scrum teams in the development of industry-first absence management API solutions that are redefining the customer experience. This includes a systematic, automated connection between multiple systems to enable the seamless sharing of data and automating of time-consuming HR functions. • Relocated to lead the opening of a second Leave Management Center office.• Responsible for all aspects of building new Leave Management Center, including the hiring process and decisions, space planning and logistics, business partner engagement and coordination, and marketing/education for new LMC. • Led a team of 13-16 Leave Specialists who manage Leave of Absence programs for companies all across the United States.• I previously led a team focused on leave administration for the healthcare industry, customizing the Unum program to meet the unique challenges of the 24/7 hospital environment.• Oversight of administration of the federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), over 170 state leave laws, and corporate leave policies.• Manage and maintain relationships with customers, including Human Resources leaders and Benefits Administrators.• Coordinate with Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability business partners to ensure efficient leave administration.• Resolve escalated customer service issues for claimants and employers.• Manage departmental continuous improvement projects.• Assist field sales partners with training and sales presentations to existing and potential customers.
