As Director of Marketing at Cowan Systems, a century-old trucking and logistics firm based in Baltimore, I led the development and execution of comprehensive marketing communications strategies for Cowan and its two affiliates: Cowan Logistics, and Single Source Logistics. While R/A traditionally emphasized hosting in-person peer group sessions, my tenure marked a period of diversification into business consulting, coaching, classroom training, and live events. As a one-person marketing consultancy, I helped growing businesses make the transition from traditional forms of advertising to more progressive ways of marketing themselves through the development and implementation of a Digital Marketing Strategy. Over the course of 9 years, the company evolved from an agency into a consultancy model, working with clients in the following roles: - VP of Client Success for a start-up software company in the healthcare industry, specializing in patient-centered scheduling. - VP of Marketing for the CapellaTax Network, a start-up in the financial services industry. - Onsite Director of Marketing for a leading investment banking and corporate advisory firm, focused on assisting emerging growth and middle-market companies.From a production perspective I was responsible for the execution of hundreds of projects, consisting of web design & development, search engine marketing, SEO as well as social media, online banner & e-mail marketing campaigns. As lead project manager my roles varied with each project but included site planning & architecture, CMS analysis & selection, graphic design, HTML coding, testing, host configuration and end-user training, support & documentation.
