An active self-starter and cultural innovator, often wearing many hats, she was an award nominee for the Kansas City Business Journal's "Women Who Mean Business" Award in 2018. Dawn knew she would be a business owner in her youth and founded Houndstooth Planning Co.(HPC Global) to bring her passion to life. A design firm, HPC was best known for events but would eventually grow to assist clients as they plan, manage, and develop projects, events & brands from start to finish, locally and globally. HPC's precise execution has awarded the company an impressive portfolio that spans several industries and includes notable brands. Dawn brings over a decade of experience in early-stage development and strategic planning. Since transitioning from HPC in the 2020 pandemic, Dawn manages Resilience Mode alongside her husband, Ricky Kidd. In 2019 Ricky Kidd was released from a 23-year wrongful imprisonment for a crime he didn't commit. Shortly after, he founded I AM RESILIENCE, now known as Resilience Mode. They have been able to lead interactive workshops and training while presenting inspirational & key-note talks that create self-enrichment, resilience, next-level leadership, and wellness, often working with organizations, schools, and corporations to help educate and inspire their groups across the nation!
