Manager in the supply chain practice, which entails providing advisory and operational support to clients for their strategic procurement and sourcing initiatives. My role encompassed a number of functions including client relationship management, sourcing & procurement guidance, spend analytics, and project management services. I was fortunate to serve a number of industries include life sciences (medical equipment), IT, telecommunications, construction, engineering, freight, and food production. Some of my notable accomplishments include designing a new vendor management office (VMO) to support IT vendor management, leading a strategic sourcing effort for a $700M telecoms infrastructure program resulting in $20M+ in savings, and developing a multi-year roadmap to enhance the value of capital equipment investments for life sciences production lines.

These services included digital process automation, sourcing, procurement, and contracting strategies, SAP Ariba suite best practices, cyber security process, and Agile/Scrum project management methodologies. Additionally, I led the sourcing process and contract execution for a $1B nuclear decommissioning project. The progressively complex roles I had within the company equipped me with expertise in developing and and managing large-dollar contracts within the heavy construction industry. This encompassed a variety of clients in the power generation and mining & metals industries. The largest contract I managed was valued at over $300M and included mechanical, civil, and electrical construction work activities. My time with the company culminated in a two-year international deployment for a career-building opportunity in the mining & metals industry.

I was commissioned in 2002 as a contracting/ supply chain officer on active duty. During this time I was fortunate to gain my first experience managing construction & engineering suppliers for local maintenance and construction projects. I was also an key team member on a $100M+ sourcing effort for a major research & development project in the aerospace industry. My four years in the Department of Defense provided me considerable training and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related supplements.
