With no previous experience working on injection mould tooling, I started at learning about the way tools work, different types of tools etc.I began learning how to use a Hurco BMC 4216 VMC, Sodick AG60L & Agie Charmilles SLP 440 wire eroder.I gained crucial experience when visiting moulding companies that we dealt with. Learning how the tools get moulded and little tips etc.The 8 months I worked there were invaluable for me. Broadening my knowledge.

I started my apprenticeship at Tower Tool in 2007 learning my trade on the manual side of the factory. Using Bridgeport milling machines, Colchester lathes also fitting and finishing tools.After gaining my Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Technology in 2010, I moved onto doing my Level 3 NVQ Advanced Apprenticeship in CNC Programming.I moved into the CNC office and learnt the programming side using Delcam PowerMill, gaining experience off the established engineers.I gained my certificate: Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Engineering in the Engineering and Manufacturing Sector in early 2012.Whilst learning my trade i have done a Health and safety course, Forklift Truck driving course, Safe mounting of abrasive wheels course and numerous Delcam courses.Recently I have moved into the main office to learn tool design using Delcam Powershape and also the admin side of things.Work with companies such as: Meggitt, Dunlop, GKN, Icon Polymer, Trelleborg etc.Some examples of companies that I designed and machined tools for are: Airbus, Boeing, Land Rover, Rolls Royce and Eurostar trains.
