GNYHA Ventures was the for-profit arm of the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA), a regional advocacy group. Their business all focused on helping healthcare entities, providing services for group purchasing, supply chain consulting, administration, and technology. Their portfolio included brands such as Innovatix, Essensa, Acurity, and Nexera. I worked in their corporate communications department, where I built on established brands, branded new companies, and created & maintained a range of materials for B2B publications, presentations, ads, brochures, sales sheets, websites, and videos. In February 2020 GNYHA Ventures sold their remaining companies to Premier, Inc.

Sumo was a long-running production collaborative creating comedic content under the moniker “Free Love Forum.” I co-wrote and performed in the group’s stage productions, shot and edited videos, developed its visual identity, and helmed the design of its posters, flyers, merchandise, and website. Sumo’s sketch comedy TV pilot, Free Love Forum, was an official selection of the 2006 New York Television Festival.

Hollywood, Florida

Zumba is a fitness brand whose dance-based aerobic workout is common to gyms around the world. Their business is based on instructor training and certification, workout videos, dance music, licensing, and merchandise. As their in-house designer from 2008 to 2009, I applied their visual assets to a range of designs for posters, fliers, DVDs, and ad campaigns for print and web.

HX Media was a publisher and events company that served New York’s LGBTQ community. I was responsible for article typesetting and ad placement in their newspaper, The New York Blade, and designed corporate materials, brochures, promotions, and occasional spreads for the company’s namesake magazine, HX.NOTE: The publications folded in June of 2009.

Responsible for the expeditious creation or modification of ad layouts at an independent Florida newspaper. Gained experience working with marketing and editorial departments, and negotiating the needs of clients with the hectic deadlines of a newspaper.

Worked with a video-assit unit on the set of an independent film. Logged the timecode of each take in a journal for director’s reference. The film, “Making Revolution,” was released in May 2003
