• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, my main responsibility is to manage a team of engineers and technologists in developing automated processes to meet customer requirements, including electrical and mechanical design, fabrication, programming and installation.• Managing all aspects of projects from bidding through to commissioning including scheduling, resource assignment and monitoring budgets• Writing proposals, bids and functional specifications for a wide range of projects• Mentoring engineering team members to establish goals and objectives and providing ongoing feedback to ensure achievement of results.• Creating an environment that encourages initiative, team work, continuous improvement and learning • Developing, implementing and managing policies and procedures for the Engineering Department• Collaborating with other members of the management team in developing sales and marketing strategies, developing leads and providing technical support for sales efforts• Writing project status reports detailing technical issues and budgetary status for all projects• Communicating effectively with customer’s engineering staff to ensure each project has a successful outcome

• Successfully prepared proposals and bids for projects ranging from $50,000 to $10 million• Collaborated with S-S Technologies' Project Managers and with customer's engineering staff to develop cost effective solutions to meet customer requirements in the following ways: investigating and selecting hardware and software solutions; determining material and labour requirements and costs; coordinating with electrical and mechanical companies to obtain installation costs• Successfully Managed projects up to $100,000• Collaborated with a project team on projects of $100,000 to $1 million• Wrote functional specifications• Developed automated control systems to meet customers specifications including programmable logic controller programs, operator interface applications and SCADA systems• Supervised equipment installation at customer facilities• Successfully commissioned projects ensuring completion according to schedule
